Eckert Seamans Adds Attorney in Philadelphia Office
The national law firm of Eckert Seamans Cherin and Mellott, LLC today
announced the continued expansion of the firm’s Philadelphia practice with the addition of
attorney Daniel B. Markind as a Member.
“As the Philadelphia office continues to grow,
we recognize the need to attract accomplished lawyers who expand the reach of
our practice,” said Albert Bixler, Member-in-Charge of Eckert
Seamans’ Philadelphia office. "With Dan’s level of
knowledge and experience in the real estate and aviation industries, his
addition to the firm not only strengthens our capabilities in Philadelphia, but also
adds depth to these practices on a national level. He will be valuable to
both our clients and our attorneys."
Daniel B. Markind focuses his practice on real estate, aviation and
corporate law matters. Before joining the firm, he managed his own
broad-based law practice, representing real estate developers, syndicators and
commercial property owners, as well as airports and aviation-related
entities. Mr. Markind handled a wide array of matters, including:
commercial property acquisition, sale, zoning and land use; borrowing, lending,
leasing and other financing; airport and airline-related business ventures and
regulatory matters; and corporate mergers, purchases and sales. In
addition, he has represented numerous mid-market companies in general corporate
matters.
Prior to establishing his own private practice, Mr. Markind served as the
Divisional Deputy of Transportation for the City of Philadelphia. In this
role, he served as general counsel to the Philadelphia International Airport and the Mayor’s Office of
Transportation. Mr. Markind’s responsibilities included conceptualizing
and documenting an airport-wide concessions program with third-party developers,
assisting in airport financing, managing general contracting and business issues
and handling regulatory matters.
Mr. Markind earned his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania School
of Law and his undergraduate degree, cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Finance
and Commerce.
