Eckert Seamans Adds Attorneys in Philadelphia Office
The national law firm of Eckert Seamans Cherin and Mellott, LLC recently
announced that attorneys Ellen D. Bailey and Deborah S. Baird have
joined the firm’s Philadelphia office.
Ellen D. Bailey joins as an Associate in the firm’s Litigation
Division. She focuses her practice primarily on business litigation, with
an emphasis in the areas of general commercial litigation, mass tort litigation
and products liability. Ms. Bailey’s prior experience includes commercial
litigation, insurance coverage litigation behalf of policyholders, employment
litigation, white-collar criminal matters and appellate practice. Prior to
joining private practice, she was an assistant prosecutor with the Camden County
Prosecutor’s Office. Ms. Bailey is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and before the United States
District Courts for the District of New Jersey and the Eastern District of
Pennsylvania, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Third
Circuit. She earned her law degree from the Rutgers University School of
Law and her undergraduate degree from Drew University.
Deborah S. Baird joins as an Associate in the firm’s Litigation
Division. She concentrates her practice on the defense of medical
professional liability, product liability and pharmaceutical matters. She
has extensive experience handling complex medical malpractice matters as a trial
counsel for physician and hospital clients. Ms. Baird is licensed to practice in
Pennsylvania and New Jersey and before the
U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the U.S.
Supreme Court. She received her law degree from the Widener University School of
Law and her undergraduate degree from The Pennsylvania State University.
