Eckert Seamans Adds Attorney in Pittsburgh Office
The national law firm of Eckert Seamans Cherin and Mellott, LLC today
announced that attorney Carol A. Marmo has joined as a Member in
Pittsburgh, PA.
Carol A. Marmo joins as a Member in the Business Division. Ms.
Marmo concentrates her practice in intellectual property matters, including
mechanical and chemical technologies. She has experience in patent
preparation and prosecution, patentability and validity opinions, client
counseling and licensing. Prior to joining Eckert Seamans, Ms. Marmo
served as in-house intellectual property counsel at two Fortune 100 companies in
the chemicals and coatings industry. Before practicing law, she worked as
a chemical engineer for one the country’s most prominent suppliers to the
nuclear power industry. Ms. Marmo is registered to practice before the
United States Patent and Trademark Office and is admitted to practice law in
Pennsylvania. She is a member of the
Pittsburgh Intellectual Property Law Association, where she is currently serving
as Vice-President. Ms. Marmo earned her law degree from Duquesne
University School of Law. She earned an M.B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh, Katz Graduate School of
Business and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from The Pennsylvania State
University.
