Eckert Seamans Attorneys and Firm Rank Among Leading Lawyers in Chambers USA
The law firm Eckert Seamans Cherin and Mellott, LLC today announced that four
of its attorneys and the firm have been ranked among the top lawyers in Chambers
USA’s America’s Leading Lawyers for Business. Albert G.
Bixler was selected for general commercial litigation, and Gary D.
Bressler, Barry D. Kleban, and Gary M. Schildhorn were
selected for bankruptcy/restructuring. The firm was selected for
bankruptcy/restructuring.
Albert G. Bixler is a member in the firm’s Litigation
Division. He also serves as the Member-in-Charge of the Philadelphia
office and is a member of the firm’s Board of Directors. Mr. Bixler
represents clients in matters ranging from environmental claims to professional
negligence and bankruptcy litigation. He has extensive experience in
personal injury, insurance coverage, product liability, toxic tort, class action
and “mass tort” matters. He received his law degree from the University of
Pennsylvania Law School in 1984, where he was Articles Editor for the University
of Pennsylvania Law Review. He received his master’s degree from the
University of California in 1981 and his bachelor of arts degree, magna cum
laude, from the University of Pennsylvania in 1977. He has also been
named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer.
Gary D. Bressler is a member in the firm’s Bankruptcy Group.
Prior to joining Eckert Seamans, Mr. Kleban was a shareholder with the law firm
of Adelman Lavine Gold Schildhorn and Kleban, P.C. Mr. Bressler’s areas of
practice include business bankruptcy and insolvency, with extensive experience
representing debtors, trustees and creditors’ committees. Mr. Bressler has
lectured extensively, including sitting on an American Bar Association
Bankruptcy Panel, held in conjunction with the National Conference of Bankruptcy
Judges, and on a panel at the Eastern District of Pennsylvania Bankruptcy
Conference Annual Forum. Mr. Bressler has held numerous positions for the
Eastern District of Pennsylvania Bankruptcy Conference, and he currently sits on
its Steering Committee. Mr. Bressler received his law degree from
Villanova University School of Law, where he graduated cum laude and
Order of the Coif and served on Law Review. He received his
undergraduate degree, cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania, and
was appointed to the honor’s society of the Political Science Department.
Mr. Bressler has also been recognized as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer.
Barry D. Kleban is a member in the firm’s Bankruptcy
Group. Prior to joining Eckert Seamans, Mr. Kleban was a shareholder with
the law firm of Adelman Lavine Gold Schildhorn and Kleban, P.C. Mr. Kleban
practices in the areas of business bankruptcy, insolvency, and commercial
transactions with emphasis in representing businesses and their owners in
out-of-court reorganizations and debtors and creditors’ committees in business
bankruptcies. His commercial experience includes transactions in the
construction, health care, real estate, manufacturing and transportation
industries, among others. He earned his law degree from the University of
Pennsylvania Law School and he earned his undergraduate degree from The
Pennsylvania State University, graduating with highest distinction. He has
been recognized by Philadelphia magazine as a “Best Bankruptcy Lawyer,
Debtor Cases” and has been listed among Pennsylvania’s Super Lawyers. He
is included in The Best Lawyers in America and has been named in every
edition of Chambers USA’s America’s Leading Lawyers for Business.
Gary M. Schildhorn is a member in the firm’s Bankruptcy
Group. Prior to joining Eckert Seamans, Mr. Kleban was a shareholder with
the law firm of Adelman Lavine Gold Schildhorn and Kleban, P.C. Mr.
Schildhorn’s areas of practice focus on corporate and business law, insolvency,
reorganizations and business bankruptcies, and his clients are involved in the
health care, distribution, employment services, multi unit franchises,
manufacturing, finance and transportation industries. He has been
recognized by Philadelphia magazine as a “Best Bankruptcy Lawyer,
Commercial Cases.” He has also been listed among Pennsylvania’s Super
Lawyers. Mr. Schildhorn received his law degree from Western New England
School of Law and his undergraduate degree from the University of
