Eckert Seamans Attorney Selected as Author in New Authoritative Bankruptcy Book

Ronald S. Gellert of Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott, LLC, has been recognized as a leader in bankruptcy law by being selected as an author in the recently released book The Roles and Motivations of Key Players in Bankruptcy Cases: Leading Lawyers on Overseeing Bankruptcy, Financial Restructuring, and Reorganization Proceedings, published by Aspatore Books.  The book is an authoritative, insider’s perspective on the responsibilities and liabilities of the various constituents involved in bankruptcy, financial restructuring, and reorganization proceedings.  It features partners from some of the nation’s leading law firms, who guide the reader through the intricacies of navigating the zone of insolvency, discussing the possibility of pre-bankruptcy reorganization efforts, the financial implications of Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 filings, and the role of the bankruptcy lawyer to both debtors and creditors.

Ronald S. Gellert is member at Eckert Seamans and practices in the Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights Department, where he concentrates in debtor/creditor matters, primarily in the “mega” Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases pending in Delaware and throughout the nation.  In addition, he practices in general commercial law and commercial litigation, and he is a resident of both the Philadelphia and Wilmington, Delaware offices of the firm.  Ron was named a 2005 and 2006 Rising Star by Pennsylvania Super Lawyers.  Mr. Gellert earned his law degree from Rutgers University School of Law in 1997 and his bachelor of arts degree, graduating with High Honors, from Rutgers College in 1993.  Following graduation from law school, Mr. Gellert served as a law clerk to the Honorable Judith H. Wizmur and the Honorable Gloria M. Burns of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey.  He is a member of the Delaware Bankruptcy American Inn of Court, the American Bankruptcy Institute, and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania Bankruptcy Conference, and he is admitted to practice in Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.  He resides in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
