Katherine Ovalle and Elizabeth Wadsworth Join Eckert Seamans in Washington, D.C.
The national law firm of Eckert Seamans Cherin and Mellott, LLC today
announced that attorneys Katherine G. Ovalle and
Elizabeth J. Wadsworth have joined the
firm.
Katherine G. Ovalle joins as an Associate of the firm in
the Business Division of the Washington,
D.C. office. She focuses her practice
on aviation and aerospace law. Prior to joining Eckert Seamans, Ms. Ovalle
was Associate Counsel at the United States Department of Transportation, Office
of Inspector General. She earned her law degree from The Catholic
University of America, Columbus School of Law in 2004 and her undergraduate
degree from the University of
Rochester in 1999. While
attending law school, Ms. Ovalle clerked for the United States Attorneys Office
in Maryland. She is admitted
to practice in New York and is a
member of the Tax Section and Business Law Section of the American Bar
Association and a member of the New York State Bar Association. Ms. Ovalle
is fluent in Spanish and resides in Alexandria,
Virginia.
Elizabeth J. Wadsworth joins as an Associate in the
Business Division of the Washington,
D.C. office. She focuses her practice
on aviation and aerospace law. Prior to joining Eckert Seamans, Ms.
Wadsworth worked as an associate attorney for four years with a small firm in
Washington, D.C.
specializing in aviation regulatory and commercial
issues. Before entering private practice, she served two consecutive
judicial clerkships with the United States District Court for the Central
District of Illinois, and also worked as a research attorney for the Sixth
Judicial District of Illinois. Ms. Wadsworth received her Master of Laws
in International and Comparative Law from the
Georgetown University
Law Center
in 2001 and her Juris Doctorate degree, magna cum
laude, from the University of Illinois College of Law in 1992. She
earned her undergraduate degree from the University
of Illinois in
1987. Ms. Wadsworth is admitted to practice in
Illinois and the
District of Columbia. She
resides in Washington,
D.C.
