Former Superior Court Judge Joins Eckert Seamans
The Hon. Robert A. Graci, former Judge of the Pennsylvania
Superior Court, has joined the law firm Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott, LLC
as Special Counsel in the firm’s
Harrisburg office.
Prior to his appointment to Superior Court, he served as Assistant Executive
Deputy Attorney General for Law and Appeals of the Criminal Law Division, a
position that capped an 18-year career in the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney
General. He was appointed to the Court by Governor Mark Schweiker and
unanimously confirmed by the Pennsylvania Senate after the Pennsylvania Bar
Association gave him its “Highly Recommended” rating for the position.
Drawing on his substantial experience in the state and federal courts as both
a lawyer and a judge and on his more than two decades of public service at the
local, state and federal levels, Judge Graci will focus his practice on
litigation, including white collar criminal defense and appeals, administrative
and regulatory law, alternative dispute resolution and government relations.
Judge Graci serves as co-chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s
Post-trial and Appellate Advocacy Committee. He previously served as chair of
the Bar’s Criminal Law Section. He has lectured on law-related topics for the
Pennsylvania Bar Institute, the Pennsylvania Conference of State Trial Judges,
the Pennsylvania District Attorneys Institute, the Pennsylvania Department of
Environmental Resources, the Delaware State Bar Association and other
forums.
He earned a bachelor’s degree from West Chester State College and a law
degree, cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law.
