Tim Hudak and Chris Opalinski talk with Law360 about what it takes to make partner

Opalinski explained that the focus on hours can seem a little misguided to associates, but to managing partners, schedules can indicate how committed associates are to their jobs and their firms. “The hours show us, if nothing else, drive — is this person willing to put in the time and do whatever it takes?” Opalinski noted.
Hudak spoke to the importance of taking on added responsibility with clients and understanding the big picture of the firm’s relationship with each client. “One of the biggest challenges is when the associate doesn’t understand what’s going on,” Hudak said.
