Paul M. Yenerall is a Member of the firm. Mr. Yenerall is a member of the firm’s Board of Directors and serves as Chair of the Business Division.
Mr. Yenerall concentrates his practice on ERISA and tax law matters. He has represented a broad range of domestic and international employers and individuals on a wide variety of ERISA and tax matters, including the design and implementation of qualified retirement plans, stock option and stock appreciation right plans, and other nonqualified incentive and deferred compensation arrangements. He has assisted lenders and purchasers of businesses in evaluating compliance by a potential borrower or target entity with ERISA and federal and state tax laws and quantifying the potential liability associated with any noncompliance. In addition, he has structured and implemented various types of employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs), including ESOPs designed to fulfill an employer's matching obligation under its 401(k) plan.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Yenerall was an accountant with an international accounting firm. He was a certified public accountant and was formerly a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Mr. Yenerall has made presentations at meetings of the Tax Section of the Allegheny County Bar Association, of which he was chairman and currently is a member of the governing board, and to numerous professional accounting organizations. He is a member of the American and Pennsylvania Bar Associations. He holds an AV® rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
