Mr. Roberts is a Member in the Business Division, resident in the Pittsburgh office, and is the chair of the firm’s Municipal Law Section. His practice is concentrated in the areas of land use and development, municipal law and litigation, and he represents both municipalities and private clients in the full range of municipal and land development law-related matters. Mr. Roberts is the Solicitor for Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Roberts has served as lecturer for the Local Government Academy, the National Institute of Municipal Law Officers, the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and the Allegheny County Bar Association’s Municipal and School Solicitors Association. He is the immediate past Chairman of the Municipal Law Section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. From 1985 until 1988, he served as Chair of the Allegheny County Bar Association’s Tax Exempt Charitable Organizations Section. He is a member of the American Bar Association’s Section of Urban, State and Local Government Law, the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Municipal Law Section, and the Allegheny County Bar Association’s Municipal and School Solicitors Association.
Mr. Roberts is listed in The Best Lawyers in America for land use and zoning law. He has been named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer for 2007. Only the top five percent of Pennsylvania lawyers received this distinction. Mr. Roberts holds an AV® rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
