John E. Quinn is a Member in the firm’s Litigation Division in its Labor and Employment Practice Group.  Prior to joining Eckert Seamans, Mr. Quinn was a partner with the law firm of Reed Smith.

John represents both organized and unorganized employers in all aspects of employee relations.  He has defended employers in federal and state courts as well as before city, state and federal agencies in matters involving discrimination allegations.  He also has defended employers in wrongful discharge cases and other employment-related matters.  John has represented employers before the National Labor Relations Board and the Pennsylvania Labor Relations Board in unfair labor practice proceedings as well as in union organizational campaigns.  John has participated in numerous contract negotiations with various unions and he has represented employers in arbitration cases.  He also represents the management trustees of several Taft-Hartley Act funds. 

For over 20 years John has been a member of the board of directors of Carson Valley School, a not for profit institution in Flourtown, PA, which provides educational and social services to abused and neglected children.  John is past chair of the Hearing Committee of the Disciplinary Board of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and a master member of the Temple American Inns of Court.

John has been recognized as one of Pennsylvania's Super Lawyers® each year from 2004 to 2008, ranking in the top five percent of attorneys practicing in the state.  He holds an AV® rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
