Jack McGinley, Jr. is a Member of the firm’s Business Division.
Mr. McGinley has been a trial attorney for over 30 years and has extensive experience in corporate, business, real estate, and professional liability matters.
Mr. McGinley is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, as well as a member and past governor of the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County. He is director of Pittsburgh Steelers Sports, Inc. and Wilson-McGinley. He is also chairman of Ballymoney & Company, a business that develops and manages real estate properties. Mr. McGinley is the former chairman of Rockwood Casualty Insurance Company. He previously served as a member of the Corporate Advisory Board for the Department of State of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. His commitment to community service is exemplified by his active participation and leadership on the boards of the Pittsburgh Mercy Health System and the Pittsburgh Mercy Hospital, St. Bonaventure University and Duquesne University Law Alumni Association. He is currently an Adjunct Professor at Duquesne University School of Law.
Mr. McGinley is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association. He serves as a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Judicial Evaluation Commission for appellate judges. Mr. McGinley is Chairman Emeritus of the Independent Regulatory Review Commission. He is also a member of the American College of Trial Lawyers, the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County and a Fellow of both the Allegheny Bar Foundation and the Pennsylvania Bar Foundation.
Mr. McGinley is listed in The Best Lawyers in America for commercial litigation. He holds an AV® rating from Martindale-Hubbell, and has also been recognized by his peers as one of Pennsylvania's Super Lawyers® each year from 2004 to 2008, ranking among the top five percent of attorneys practicing in the state.
