
Daniel B. Markind is a Member of the firm in the Business Division. He focuses his practice on real estate, aviation and corporate law matters.
Before joining the firm, Mr. Markind managed his own broad-based law practice, representing real estate developers, syndicators and commercial property owners, as well as airports and aviation-related entities. He handled many matters, including: commercial property acquisition, sale, zoning and land use; borrowing, lending, leasing and other financing; airport and airline-related business ventures and regulatory matters; and corporate mergers, purchases and sales. In addition, Mr. Markind has represented numerous mid-market companies in general corporate matters.
Prior to establishing his own private practice, Mr. Markind served as the Divisional Deputy of Transportation for the City of Philadelphia. In this role, he served as general counsel to the Philadelphia International Airport and the Mayor’s Office of Transportation. Mr. Markind’s responsibilities included conceptualizing and documenting an airport-wide concessions program with third-party developers, assisting in airport financing, managing general contracting and business issues and handling regulatory matters.
Active in the community, Mr. Markind currently serves as the chair of the legal committee and on the Board of Directors of the Jewish National Fund of America.
