Christina I. Kepplinger is an Associate in the firm’s Labor and Employment Department. Ms. Kepplinger focuses her practice on representing management clients in labor and employment matters. Ms. Kepplinger’s employment practice covers issues arising under Title VII, the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, Rehabilitation Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, as well as various state employment laws.Ms. Kepplinger has represented employers before state and federal courts and administrative agencies, such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission, and the City of Pittsburgh Commission on Human Relations. Ms. Kepplinger also has significant experience representing employers at evidentiary hearings regarding claims for unemployment compensation benefits. She also has experience defending employers when unsuccessful claimants appeal to the Unemployment Compensation Board of Review and the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania.
In addition, Ms. Kepplinger regularly counsels management employers regarding union avoidance, employee discipline, personnel policies, employee handbooks, discrimination and harassment complaints, wage and hour laws, and related employment issues.
