Dale Hershey is a Member in the Litigation and Business Divisions. Mr. Hershey focuses his practice on business counseling and litigation in the fields of antitrust law, class actions, commercial disputes, corporate law, health care law, insurance, and international trade. He has also litigated constitutional law cases. Mr. Hershey teaches Law of Competition and Managerial Environment as Senior Lecturer in Law at the Graduate School of Industrial Administration, Carnegie Mellon University. He also teaches business law courses to Carnegie Mellon undergraduates.
He has written and spoken on antitrust and international law subjects and has served as chair of the Antitrust and Class Action Committee of the Allegheny County Bar Association. He is a member of the Antitrust, Litigation and International Law Sections of the American Bar Association. He has advised on antitrust counterclaims in patent litigation.
Mr. Hershey is active in numerous professional and civic organizations. He is a trustee of the Allegheny County Bar Foundation and has served as an elected member of the Allegheny County Bar Association's Judiciary Committee. He is a member of the board of Kids Voice, which provides representation for children. He has served as an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association. He is honorary president of Gateway to the Arts, president of The Charleston Trust/USA, and he served as president of the Pittsburgh Chamber Music Society. Mr. Hershey is also a Fellow of the Gallery of Art, Carnegie Institute, and a member of the Board of Friends of Carnegie Library. Previously, he served as president of the Yale Club of Pittsburgh, the Harvard Law School Association of Western Pennsylvania and the Legal Aid Society, and as a trustee of the Historical Society of Western Pennsylvania.
