John E. Hall is Chair of the firm’s Product Liability Department and a Member in the Litigation Division. He is a member of the firm's Board of Directors. He has actively practiced as a trial lawyer in Pennsylvania and West Virginia from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania his entire career.
His practice is concentrated in the area of product liability defense and business litigation. He has extensive jury trial experience in both state and federal courts in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. His practice encompasses the defense of automobile manufacturers, industrial machine/equipment manufacturers, business machines, consumer products and appliances, toxic products, medical devices, drugs and food-borne product claims.
Mr. Hall has litigated intellectual property cases and a variety of business litigation disputes, various insurance coverage and bad faith issues, including professional liability. He has defended numerous cases involving allegations of negligence involving personal injury and property damage.
Mr. Hall is listed in The Best Lawyers in America for commercial litigation and product liability litigation and has also been recognized by his peers as one of Pennsylvania's Super Lawyers® in 2008, ranking among the top five percent of attorneys practicing in the state. Mr. Hall also holds an AV® rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
