Henry M. Clinton is a Member of the firm in the Business Division. His practice includes both real estate transactions and real estate related litigation. Mr. Clinton's real estate practice includes the representation of commercial and residential sellers and purchasers of developed and undeveloped land, apartments, restaurants and single family and multi-family residences from the preparation of initial purchase documents, through the acquisition and development stage (environmental, engineering, financing, title issues) to settlement. He has negotiated and drafted design documents, construction contracts and major office building leases. He has appeared before Zoning Boards, the Board of Revision of Taxes and the Historical Commission on behalf of commercial and residential clients.
Mr. Clinton's litigation practice includes construction and commercial matters on behalf of either sellers or purchasers. He has prosecuted and defended breach of contract, breach of warranty, tortuous interference with contractual relations and Unfair Trade Practices claims. He has litigated land disputes and building defect matters, defended and participated in the mediation/arbitration of construction claims, including AAA Arbitration, in both commercial and residential cases and owners/building and contractor/subcontractor negligence matters.
In May 2007, Mr. Clinton was recognized by the Philadelphia VIP (Volunteers for Indigent Persons) for his more than five years of generous and dedicated service to the Tangled Title Advisory Committee, which assures that struggling Philadelphia residents have clear title to their homes.
