Robert V. Campedel is a Member in the firm's Litigation Division. He focuses his practice on complex, commercial litigation including products liability defense, insurance coverage, construction and engineering and securities litigation. He has litigated in federal and state courts in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, West Virginia and before the American Arbitration Association. He is a past Chairman of the Western Pennsylvania hearing panel for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Board of Claims.
Mr. Campedel's securities experience includes five years as Attorney-in-Charge of Enforcement for the Pennsylvania Securities Commission during which time he was involved with issuers and broker dealer regulations. He worked in cooperation with the SEC, NASD and other state securities regulators with regard to varied securities law issues. In private practice he has represented both claimants and broker dealers in NASD arbitration and regulatory proceedings, as well as in court and before the SEC. He has handled private 10(b)(5) actions, non-compete proceedings between broker dealers and their former employees, as well as securities class actions.
Mr. Campedel’s commercial litigation experience includes trials of software development disputes, complex trade secrets and non-compete cases involving industrial processes, hospital accreditation litigation and products liability cases involving drugs, food supplements, equipment contracts, and commercial and construction contract disputes.
Mr. Campedel holds an AV® rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
