Jennifer L. Andrews is an Associate of the firm in the Business Division. She focuses her practice on Aviation law.Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Andrews was an associate with a Washington, D.C.-based law firm. While there, she focused her practice on corporate law, small business advising and government contracts issues.
Before entering private practice, Ms. Andrews served as law clerk to Associate Chief Administrative Law Judge Thomas Burke, of the United States Department of Labor, where she was responsible for drafting case decisions, orders, and responses to motions in cases arising under the Black Lung Benefits Act, the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act, the whistleblower provisions of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and a variety of other employment statutes.
During her course of studies, Ms. Andrews was selected by the law school faculty of Washington and Lee University to participate in their Black Lung Legal Clinic, which represents coal miners and their spouses to obtain benefits under the Black Lung Benefits Act. She presented oral arguments to the Benefits Review Board of the U.S. Department of Labor, acted as counsel at hearings before administrative law judges, deposed expert witness and authored briefs and motions.
