Brij K. Agarwal is a Member in the firm’s Intellectual Property Department and advises clients on all areas of intellectual property law. As a patent attorney registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, Mr. Agarwal is skilled in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in numerous technical fields, with particular emphasis on the software, electronic, and mechanical arts. Mr. Agarwal regularly handles matters such as studies of patentability, infringement, and right-to-use, and also assists clients in designing around patents. Mr. Agarwal also works in all phases of trademark law, including the registration of trademarks and analysis of trademark infringement and right-to-use. Among the articles written and published by Mr. Agarwal are “Supreme Court Gave Americans a Fairer Shake vs. the World by Upholding Copyright Protection Extension” which was published in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and “Supreme Court Gives Patent Holders the Edge in Battle Against Infringers” which was widely published online and in print.Prior to law school, Mr. Agarwal served as a Systems Engineer for a Fortune 500 Corporation, providing technical expertise in the implementation of engineering and manufacturing computer systems.
